Guided visit Belem

We will leave the meeting point to go to the popular neighborhood of Belém, located on the banks of the Tagus. Upon our arrival we will receive the statues of the sailors, who greet locals and tourists from the Monument to the Discoveries.

As we walk along the banks of the Tagus we will learn about events that have marked the history of the city, such as the sea route of spices to India, designed by Juan II of Portugal.

We will continue our walk to the Plaza del Imperio, and there we will discover the Jerónimos Monastery, which rises like a palace in the center of Belém. Did you know that it was built to commemorate Vasco de Gama's return from India?

We will return to the Tagus to see up close one of the most representative symbols of Lisbon: the Tower of Belém. Built for military purposes, this tower is one of the best examples of Manueline architecture. Your photos here will look like postcards!

And how could it be otherwise, we will finish our tour in one of the most typical bakeries in the neighborhood. There we will be able to know Belém through its more traditional flavor tasting the Belém cakes, also called cream cakes.
